A Small Piece with a Powerful Message

This quote was shared with me by a dear friend of mine, and it gave me an epiphany.

Recently, I have been subjected to experiences that have taught me a lot about life. I have learnt that when opportunity knocks, to answer. When I am feeling low, that it is an emotion, and that emotion is not based on rationality all the time. And, if this is so, to take some time-out and indulge in things that I love. Because doing this enables you to find yourself again and in that, you will find solutions to your troubles.

Be inspiring and surround yourself with others who also inspire you, so that you can all be the best you can be. Set yourself positive goals and strive to achieve them. But remain realistic, and if things are too tough, then take a step back. You are not a failure because you needed to rest. You have accomplished the skill of listening to your body and mind when it is most needed. This will ensure you have learnt how to do something even better, and how to avoid falling down in the future.

The main thing I have learnt is that life is too short and too precious to worry about the small things. If you have a problem, there is a solution. Albeit not always clear cut, or even what you wanted initially, but if you can learn from the other lessons I have previously mentioned, then you will know that this is always true.

So take a look at your life, is it really that bad? It is not perfect, maybe. But hold onto the positive things (your loved ones, your skills, your dreams, etc.) and know that whilst you have something to aim for, then those silly problems amount to nothing.

Whilst you are still living and breathing, you have the power to change your world. Be smart and be proactive, you will see. Because life is truly beautiful. Embrace it every day.
