A poem for you xx

Mum,

You may not yet know this but you’re my best friend.

For a lifetime could pass and I know we would stick it out to the end.

Even when things get hard and the world seems too tough,

our friendship will withstand it because I know it’s strong enough.

No matter the distance, no matter the changes,

nothing can stop a love that defies all the ages.

So this one’s for you, these words from my heart.

Please read them to remind you there’s no tearing us apart.

I love you in each and every way, and I hope you know that’s forever.
