People always tell you to stop dreaming. They tell you to get your head out of the clouds and to find a “real” job, as if that’s the only way to live. But that way of living isn’t for everyone.

Some of us yearn for something different, something bigger and wilder than the average expectation. Yet so many of us are told that to feel that way is somehow, “wrong” and that we need to follow the generic societal laws. But, why?

Ultimately, no matter how big or small, we are all guided by our passions. Without them, how would we know who we are? As the great saying goes, “To find your ultimate purpose, you must first follow your passions.” And I firmly believe that no matter what it is that you love, you should keep that notion held close to your heart and let it spur you on. So whilst those dreams may seem crazy, out of the ordinary and take a hell of a lot of effort with no promise of a return, you can’t deny them – they’re what makes you, you.

And today, I’m here to remind you of just that. Stay strong and follow what you believe in. Screw the negativity and just dive right in. That vision is yours and no one should be allowed to tear it down! Just because it’s different doesn’t mean it’s impossible! So hear me when I say this: Listen to your heart, dedicate yourself to your cause and learn how to make it the best you possibly can. 

You may not know it yet, but you are a force to be reckoned with. You are a determined, brave and self-empowered individual with a passion and a drive enviable to those around you. Hold onto that. It’s what will shape your future.

Life is what you make it. Reverie or reality; the choice is yours.
